Broncos Coach Sean Payton Stands By Quarterback Bo Nix

Despite the Denver Broncos’ offensive struggles, Coach Sean Payton has confirmed that benching quarterback Bo Nix is not currently under consideration. The Broncos’ offense is ranked low in several categories, including 26th in scoring and 31st in third-down conversions. Amidst the team’s 4-2 start to the season, Payton emphasized the broader challenges facing the team, rather than singling out Nix’s performance for criticism.

During a recent game against the Seattle Seahawks, Nix faced continued difficulties, completing only 107 yards. However, Payton remains supportive, attributing Nix’s performance issues to the entire offensive unit’s struggles and citing his resilience in the face of adversity. ‘He’s going to become the by-product of all of the finer things that get improved,’ Payton explained, placing hope on improvements in the overall offensive play.

The Broncos coach discussed the bigger picture, indicating that while Nix is part of the equation, the team needs to improve its execution and explosive play capability. After a recent win, Nix himself acknowledged the team’s potential for better results. ‘We’re definitely capable [of better],’ Nix said, expressing confusion over the inability to execute more dynamic plays.
